The groin dressing can be removed one day after the procedure, and the wound left exposed.
Please contact me if you notice groin swelling or worsening groin pain.
Walking is recommended from day one post procedure. Avoid heavy lifting, sport or training for two weeks.
Depending on the procedure, you may be prescribed aspirin and clopidogrel after the procedure.
If you notice a sudden deterioration in the distance you can walk due to leg pain please contact me.
You will be given an appointment for review approximately six weeks post procedure. Sometimes an ultrasound is requested prior to vascular consultation.
